WHAT DOES THE CERAMIC WORKSHOP PROGRAM LOOK LIKE AT THE DZIKI SPOKÓJ CERAMIC STUDIO – WORKSHOPS FOR ADULTS?
Ceramic workshops for adults are not only an opportunity to relax and unwind, but also a chance to learn how to work with clay from scratch and create your own unique objects. The ceramic workshop program at Dziki Spokój studio is flexible and individually tailored to each participant, regardless of whether you are at the beginning of your creative journey or already have experience.
"First Time" Ceramic Workshops
During the classes, you will learn what clay is and what its types are. You will learn basic modeling techniques and create your first works; depending on the chosen method, you will have approximately 1.5 kg of clay included in the workshop price. After drying, the finished forms will go into the ceramic kiln for the first firing (bisque). This process takes about 2 weeks. In the first workshop, you can realize your own idea or choose a theme proposed by the instructor.
"Magic of Color" Ceramic Workshops - Glazing
The second stage is decorating. In the glazing workshops, you will learn the difference between glaze and engobe and how to apply them practically. You will apply glazes to your already fired pieces, and after glazing, they will return to the ceramic kiln. After this stage, you can collect your works within 2 weeks of glazing. The entire process takes approximately 3-4 weeks, depending on how long the piece takes to dry.
Collection and Use of Works
Firing of works is included in the workshop price, provided that the work does not exceed 20x20 cm. For larger works, there is an additional firing fee of PLN 20. You can collect your products after the first firing (bisque), but if you plan to use them functionally, e.g., as a mug or bowl, glazing and re-firing are necessary.
Ceramic workshops for adults / where to start?
If you are attending a workshop for the first time or want to create something new, the "First Time" ceramic workshops will be an excellent choice. These are introductory classes where you will learn the basics of working with clay and discover how much joy the creative process brings. If this is for you, we invite you to subsequent classes. For frequent visitors to our art studio, we have a MONTHLY PASS covering 4 classes to be used within a given month.
